Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about Cortex Workspace.

Cortex AI is an AI-powered desktop app that bridges your documents and web apps. It reads contracts, spreadsheets, and PDFs, then logs into QuickBooks, Salesforce, Encompass, or any browser app to enter the data for you — all from one interface. You stay in control of every step.

Yes. Your project is a local folder on your machine — edits save there, and Cortex does not package your whole project to the cloud. Only information needed for an AI request is sent for processing; related cloud-side data is deleted within 30 days. Calls go through a neutral inference layer, and we never use your data for model training. We are SOC2 Type II certified.

Unlike chat-based AI tools, Cortex AI is a full workspace. It can access your local files, browse the web, and run multi-step tasks autonomously — all while showing you exactly what it's doing and citing its sources. You stay in control.

Cortex AI supports PDF, Word (.docx), Excel (.xlsx), PowerPoint (.pptx), CSV, plain text, and most common document formats. It can also process images and scanned documents with OCR.

Yes. We offer an Enterprise plan with team management, shared workflows, centralized billing, and admin controls. Contact us to learn more.

Cortex AI works with any web app you can open in a browser. It logs in and navigates the app the same way you do — no API keys, no IT setup, no vendor integration. QuickBooks, Salesforce, Encompass, Clio, county assessor sites, and anything else that runs in a browser.

Yes — if you searched for Coretex, Cotex, or similar spellings, you're in the right place. Cortex AI is the AI workspace that bridges your documents and web apps. The correct spelling is Cortex AI.
